At She Literacy, we believe that nobody should be without the opportunity to experience the joys of reading and learning. This is why we’ve dedicated ourselves to collecting books that we donate to shelters and women-based organizations across the country. We consider literature to be a necessity, the same way that food, water, and shelter are. We believe that spreading knowledge through reading is essential for building healthy communities, and we will continue to strive to make a difference through our work.
AWARENESS
Empowering women through education is at the heart of our mission here at She Literacy. By sparking conversations on social media and through our podcast, we are breaking down the barriers and stigmas surrounding reading illiteracy in women. With our resources and outreach efforts, we hope to open doors for young girls and women around the world who may not have had access to education or resources to improve their literacy skills. We also run a book club that encourages girls to pursue their interests in reading in a female-based safe space; She-Literacy also runs a newsletter shedding light on important topics.
